Welcome to 2M
We have 23 clever students in our class. 16 clever conscientious girls and 7 wonderful active boys. We are learning to write in our diaries everyday and are enjoying using the iPads, laptops and computers in the classroom. We are learning about families past and present in history and are having fun making things in science.

2P Mrs Prior
Welcome to 2P
2P is a wonderful place of learning with Mrs Prior. We have 24 amazing students in our class, consisting of 9 boys and 14 girls. Everyday we learn something new. Students are encouraged to think flexibly, discover new ways of learning and pose interesting and thought provoking questions. We surround ourselves with rich literature that inspires students to jump into a book and increase their reading stamina. In maths students are working towards using flexible strategies to solve mathematical problems. Looking forward to a fun year in Year 2.

2R Mr Bullivant
Welcome to 2R for 2018
This year, 2R consists of 10 boys and 13 girls. Already, I have seen a positive, hard-working attitude from all 23 students and with continued dedication, collaboration and commitment I am assured we are set to have a fantastic year!
Positive behaviour: Students are rewarded for doing the right thing. In 2R students are actively engaged in our school's Spot Chart reward system, while incorporating ClassDojo points. ClassDojo is also being used as a communication tool where parents can view highlights of our school day and send messages directly to the teacher.
Homework: Each student has received a homework folder and a homework booklet. Students will bring their homework booklet home on a Monday and return to school on Fridays for marking. Homework consists of spelling words and maths activities relating to the weekly maths topics and some extra optional activities that students may like to do.
News: This term 2R will participate in News Cafés on Mondays rather than have their own news day. I believe discussing news in a small group is more engaging for students while providing opportunities to develop listening and social skills.
Library: Wednesday is library day with Mrs Deagan, students are asked to bring a library bag for borrowing.
Envirotech: Students will also be working with Mr Nulty developing their technological skills and environmental knowledge. This will also be on a Wednesday.
Sport: Students will participate in a variety of sporting activities every Friday.
Assemblies: Stage 1 assemblies will be on every Friday morning at 10.35am. Every second week will be a class led assembly where the class leading the assembly will present an item.
Technology: Within our classroom we have plenty of technology at our fingertips. Our SMARTboard is a constant source of information, interaction and engagement. We also have four desktop computers that are being used on a daily basis. On occasions throughout the week we have iPads and additional laptop computers to use as well.
