Year 6 students are learning how to program EV3 robots. They are fantastic at solving problems and creating their own sequence of codes.
Year six students have also been engaged in engineering challenges aimed at improving their ability to work as a team while developing creativity with ideas put forward when completing a design task.
One challenge required students to build the tallest tower they could using blocks, paddle-pop sticks and cups. Each group was given time to discuss the challenge and plan how they would approach the challenge.
Following each challenge, groups were given opportunities to reflect on their design and their ability to meet the design criteria. These were then shared as a whole class.
