Over many years, Narranga has developed a very proud reputation for producing high-quality softball players. The profile of softball in our school has evolved due to the outstanding achievements of individual players and teams, not only locally but also at both regional and state levels of competition.
Since the introduction of state knockout competitions, Narranga school teams have participated in the state finals series on numerous occasions and were actually crowned state champions in 2014 and runners up in 2009. Since 2005, Narranga has participated in these finals ten times, which is an envious record for any North Coast school to have.
Every year Narranga players dominate selections in North Coast teams to participate in State Championships. For example, last year 12 players from the school gained selection in North Coast teams and this year another eight players made it to State. A Narranga student was even selected to play for NSW which is an outstanding achievement for a country player.
Narranga is certainly proud of the success of its softball players. As a school we are fortunate to have wonderful facilities to encourage players to the game and the culture of softball in our school is a very prominent aspect of our school's sport program.
